So is your r-25 in .308? How good does it shoot? My buddy has one in .308 and it shoots just as good as my AR10t(after he got a better trigger of course). I am interested to hear how the .243 version shoots.
Hi Donkey,
It is in .308
It'll shoot the eye out of a chipmunk at 800 yds. Using 45gn. of IMR 30-31 on top of 150 gn. Sierra gamekings. I do it all the time, sometimes I hit em on the run just to make it more of a challenge. :silly:
Just funnin , I mounted the scope last night , but havn't been able to shoot her yet.
I will use lake city 147 gn. to break her in.
Once she is dialed at 100, I will stretch her out & report back.
How long has your buddy had his and what does he think of it? , does he have a favorite bullet?
he has had it for a year or so. HE LOVES IT!!! He has a nikon monarch 4-16x50 on it. but the only thing he didn't like was the trigger so he put a timney in it(i recommend getting a better trigger to). His likes hornady 150gr sst, winchester super x 150gr powerpoints, remington accubond 165gr(i am not positive on if this is the right remingtons or not). I want one in .243 for coyotes. My ar10t is just to damn heavy for carrying around all day. Plus the r-25 is cheaper and it is in CAMO!!!
