Welcome to the forum! I'm another Oregon guy and live up in Salem. Been toying with a custom AR-10 that was built by George Gardner at G.A. Precision and love it. Before this I was a bolt gun guy and M1A/M14 user.
Enjoy you new rifle, the forum, and that slick lookin' .22 of yours. We look forward to your posts.
The scope is no longer on the rifle. I've been playing with a Nikon Monarch 6.5 X 20 1" tube. I like it very much. It's got 1/8 minute clicks, but it's not a big deal. It tracks very well. Optics are every bit as good as the Leupold, IMHO.
I'll probably be mounting a Luppie MK IV M1 LR 3.5 X 10 w/mil-dot reticle soon.
Mount is the LaRue SPR-S I discussed earlier.
Barrel is a 20" Schneider 1:11 1/4" twist .308. Flash hider is the standard M-16 style, but sized for a .308.
Scary accurate is the best way to describe the combination.
I may change the grip to a more conventional ambidextrous style and go to a mag-pul MPR style stock, but that's in the future. The VLTOR stock has been very stable and quite usable for a collapsible style stock.
Weshowe,,,,,,,,,,that is one fine AR-10, I have read a few articles on GA precision, and know of two or three that have one, I guess you make four LOL. But really that is a very nice rifle
