So I purchased a PSA 308 lower assembly 4 months ago and have been waiting for PSA to have upper assembly back in stock. I have grown tired of waiting. My question is will I have any issues if I go with another manufacturer for the upper. Any ideas you may have will be greatly appreciated.
I don't know firsthand but everything I've read says PSA is a proprietary system. Those that have tried to mix parts have had nothing but problems. I'd suggest you wait and save yourself money and a hassle.
If you build pay special attention to the gas tube length. I've seen several people have issues with the gas tube being a bit short causing cycling issues, best bet is try and get the parts from PSA.

Should be fine with the AR15, AR-10/LR308 has two different rifle length sizes and various others depending on the gas system length. Either way check with the barrel manufacturer to be sure as they determine length.
