Thanks sir! So far I'm really liking it a lot. The rifle is around 10-15lbs and is 49" long with the PRS at the lowest length of pull. The ergonomics of it is unlike anything I have ever been around. The recoil was dramatically reduced. The recoil is around .223 levels. This is impart to three things; 1- weight 2- Muzzle brake 3- The inline design.
I don't think you would regret this switch. Also, if the cost of the chassis is a little much for your taste, they have a cheaper, lighter chassis called the LSS. I will be building a savage model 10 in .308 next and I plan on using the LSS.
Best photos I have taken of the rifle thus far. I got the bipod I originally purchased for it and gotta say I don't care for it on the rifle. Picking up a proper Harris soon. I haven't got any groups with the rifle as I'm having the same problem with the scope again. It will stay on for a couple shots and then go completely off of zero. So I will post more pictures and a group when I receive my Vortex in a couple weeks.
Thanks sir! I should start the LSS build a few months after I finish up this. I absolutely love Accu-triggers. If you go .300wm I HIGHLY recommend either a muzzle brake of a limb saver. Long shooting sessions become a "pain" without some protection from the sharp recoil. I don't know what the deal is with the optic. Some days it will stay on longer than others. It's very inconsistent. Can't wait to get the Vortex.
Sorry about the filter-ish look, I had to brighten up the picture. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, it!! And at the price that I got it for ($200 cheaper than Optics Planet):woohoo: Haven't got it zeroed yet but I can tell you that I can see a gnats ass from 100yds with this bad boy. Now it looks like a REAL rifle. The position of the windage knob almost blocks the bolt from lifting. I'm really gonna have to play around with it tomorrow to get it to fit the rifle and me just right. Now all I'm waiting on is the barrel and then it's off to the smith'! And then time for the Savage...
