The move to Denver has been completed. Gunsmithing school starts on the 11th of November. Unpacking is still on-going, but I've got all of the important stuff out.
Thank you Sharkey! Glad to know I wasn't the only one gone. Rest assured, my reasons were not frivolous. Do you know how many miles it is from the Alabama Gulf Coast to Denver, Colorado? lol
The drive wasn't too bad, but I had all of my stuff packed up in a moving container which left my old place a good ten days before I did, and didn't get to the new place until two days after I "moved in." At least I've got access to my tools again. That makes me happy.
Also: Agreed, Libertarian623. I think school is going to be good. There's one optional course that I'm positive I'll be taking - The Armalite M15 Armorer's course. How cool would a certification from them be? Regardless, looking through the recent topics, I'd say you guys kept things going pretty well around here.
JT: I'm actually not sure. I don't think the school accepts guns from out of state for repairs, otherwise I'd say: send them to the Colorado school of trades! Honestly though, I don't know what service I could be of at the moment - that you couldn't find closer by, or do cheaper yourself, unless you need an M1 or M14 rebarreled. As always though, I'll happily provide whatever insight I can into whatever problems find their way to the board.
Sisco: Thank you! I've heard that a lot, actually. You know, if you have 14 months and ~$22,000 to spare for tuition and tools, you too could wait 18 months after being accepted to start here. I will warn you, housing costs are higher than advertised.
Mlotzii: Thank you as well. Other than the member login box moving, things look pretty much how I remembered them. Glad to be back.
Hi Lizardette, Good to see You are back.
I`ve been to Denver a few times, the wifeys Sister and a Brother of Hers lives there, Next time We get over there I`ll give You a shout, maybe have a meet up, if there`s any other members there, it could turn into a real gathering.
I do have some friends from a Harley forum website, hdherd.com a bunch of real nice people, I could invite them along too, they`re all firearms loving people too, sometimes refered to as "Bovines", due to the name of the group, it`s a long story. :rotfl:
Yeah Sharkey, there is a bunch of the members in Your area too, Step in and check it out, be carefull of the "Cow Patties" though. :rotfl:
OH YEAH, Lizardette
Let Me know when You get to working on the M1 Garands, I have one that is in need of a bit of tuning, I`ll bring it along when We come over, have You look it over and I`d pay for the services too.
