I cannot find all 23 of Obama's gun proposals was created by Moby
so far I cannot vis Google find all 23 of Obama's gun control executive actions.
I do not know what an "executive action" is. It's not an executive order. Or is it and he just didn't want to call it that due to recent responses to his actions using executive orders. If you can find all the proposals please post them here.

Edit: I guess they are different

The following is a list, provided by the White House, of executive actions President Obama plans to take to address gun violence.

1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.



2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.



3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.



4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.



5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.



6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.



7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.



8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).



9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.



10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement.



11. Nominate an ATF director.



12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.



13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.



14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.



15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies.



16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.



17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities.



18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.



19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education.



20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover.



21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges.



22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations.



23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health.

Thanks for the time spent searching Moby. It's appreciated.

What SORT of concerns me is that these are VERY benign regs. I wonder if he is hoping to slip through something a little more "restrictive" later on when all the hub-bub dies down.

Fortunately though, we have lots of eyes on him but I still don't believe he's quite finished. Still a lot of "freaking out" going on within local and state governments and they all seem to be on a bit of a roll so we still need to watch and see where all the balls roll...

I guess it is a matter of perspective, but I see these as far from benign regs. The potential for confiscation hidden within the ambiguity is alarming.

Particularly involving the CDC, which has in the past made politically motivated statements that 'firearms are the worst plague in global history'. These are the elitists that have no business in this. Let then stick with curing ebola.

+1 Just leave it the way it is or we will be in trouble, I guess I'd be OK with some of the medical (mental) stuff :blink: I'd like to put the 3rd pin in my AK's, just for the fun of dumping the 75rd mags, besides I want my new Grandson to have the same freedoms that we now enjoy, already lived through the Brady bill, but on the bright side I bought a lot of weapons cheap back then because people were scared of going to jail for owning them wonder if that's going to happen. :I-agree:

I guess that's my biggest concern also. NOTHING this administration has done has been above board. and none of it has been good for Americans.

Well that turned out better than I ever expected, I take it as a sign of weakness, in truth this should embolden republicans to defend our rights, because by this list you can see that support for a bunch of crazy new regulations is not there and the president knows its not there. The president has definatively taken a step toward the center. He is a smart guy, he knows that it is political suicide to back the gun grabbers. Last week his own dems in the senate said that a weapons ban would not pass, hears your sign. I think I'm gunna buy a rifle just to celebrate.
