Glad you're hear to laugh about the tales with us today GDC.
Happy to have you aboard.
You sound like you know you're stuff pretty good and it's always good to see guys smarter than me joining the board..
Not that that is all that tough but ya know...
Thanks for the welcome!
My dad retired Army in '88. I joined the Air Force first as a machine gunner, then after a few years hating civilian life joined the Marines as a Radar Repairman. Talk about backwards! I wanted Armorer but they said they'd sign my waivers (medical go figure) if I signed their contract. I asked if the Marines even had radars. They replied while holding my Air Force record, "If the Air Force can have grunts, the Marines can have radars." I signed.
I know shooting and basic things. I am always trying weird things. This project goes along with me trying to load .308 bullets in a 20ga (epic fail), getting a Savage Axis trigger under a pound for free (daughter's rifle and it worked, and shooting deer with the a fore mentioned 20ga at 200yds (also a success with SST's at 226yds).
Still need to know more though so I am here to make this project work and embarrass a few guys who say only .308 based rounds shoot well out of this rifle.
