First let me start with an apology if this offends anyone, it’s not meant to.

Far too often I see a new member introduce themselves and 40-50 views of the post without a single hello, welcome to forums, show us your rifle….nothing.

Now I know from posts I’ve made there are some really helpful folks on these forums. But if you’re a new member and you see 30-40 people have viewed your intro without a peep it makes these boards and its members look arrogant. I know this not to be the case….but that’s how people in general may see it.

So when you see a new guy make an intro post….how about a welcome. Where ya from? What do you shoot? Do ya reload? Etc, etc.
It would just make folks feel more welcome.

Sorry, just the marketing guy in me coming out.

You are absolutely right! However, one of the tragedies with the site is there are about 500 visitors per day and only 10-15 of them are members or become members.

The search engine traffic is huge but people only stick around 10 seconds and then leave. Not sure why it happens. If I could figure it out I'd be very happy.

I do not know why folks would visit here and not become a member.
I've met a great gent in here and had beers together.
Be educated by others on here with vast amounts of knowledge.
And in general this is my first stop for questions about my AR.

I hope my post doesn't come across wrong. Just thinking of the new guys.

I have never been involved in any networking until I joined this site. A good friend is building a Factory Five AC Cobra and is constantly getting help and sharing ideas with other builders on their site so I thought it would be a good idea for me. When I looked at the link on another site, I jumped at the chance. I did receive a welcome message from Building My Sass. He asked for pictures and I did not have any. I plan on posting some soon now that I have upgraded my five-year old cell phone that has a decent camera.
A welcome message from members would be very appropriate.
