Anyone been impressed with a bore sight laser that will be easily seen in daylight.
I need one to dial in the new scope I want and don't want to buy three to get a good one.
I can't vouch for a good one but I've bought two that were a waste of time. The first looks like an empty cartridge, sightmark was on the packaging. The laser is bright enough but is not calibrated, it will shine on a different spot depending on how it is oriented in the chamber. I bought the Bushnell brand sighter that slips into the muzzle with interchangable collets for each caliber. When installed and rotated in the bore it traced a 12 inch circle at 30 feet. With some effort you can find center and get things pretty close but not per the directions given. I guess you could say these get you close but so can my eye looking through the bore. I hope someone will know of one that works well, with todays tech there has to be a quality one out there, right?
I use a Chamber Bore sighter...Sight Rite was the brand....it works good enough to get me on paper...but that is about it...It eats batteries real fast and my .223 one took a crap on me just after the warranty ran out...but my .308 still works...I prefer the Chamber ones...lees change of a "OOPS"...Know what I mean....
I think there are some top ones out there...but what they want for them....I think most people buy cheap ones and spend the difference on AMMO...
