I have been a bolt gun shooter for many years and have just bought an Armalite AR10.
Had a question for you guys. I had also purchased some surplus S & B 308 Winchester ammo. I finally got a chance to get to the range to break it in, and every round would not fire! I was able to re-run them back through one at a time. What a pain!
The case headstamp shows 308W, an O on both sides and what I'm guessing is a date on bottom, 82. I checked and they are Czech made.
Are the primers too thick of a metal? The rifle puts a pretty good dent in them. They will fire the second time around.
Or, is there an issue with my rifle?
I have not tried any commercial ammo yet.
Just had to share this with you guys.
Looking forward to the great resources of this site.
