Need a quad rail handgaurd was created by tankcity43
OK im looking for a quad rail for my ar10 carbine,. Guy thats ordering it isnt much help for me either, he ordered me a ez 7.0 daniel defence and it was couple inches short.. then now hes trying to sell me a 9" one..
I told him mine was a 8 inch rail total length is 8 and 5/8.. I called armalite and they said any mid length or 8 inch will work. but him and i are having problems finding a 8".. Just has me confused on what to get. any links to good quad rail will be helpful. Other question that could help me is.. Does ar15 handgaurds fit on Ar10's? Because only 8 inch ones ive found say ar15s. Thanks for the help..,

PS.. everyone is correct, Customer support at Armalite is one the best ive dealt with..

I would recommend SWS. They are known for making the lightest weight rails for the AR10 and stand up customer service. I've never dealt with them personally, but I have never heard a complaint.

Have you thought about the Armalite rail?

SWS are a bit expensive!
You can get a Armalite rail for $12o less than a SWS.
Only about five ounces difference in weight.

i wish i did just go thru Armalite.. I just found that DD on Jabtac.com for the cheapest place i seen.. I talked to the guy and i guess he isnt to familiar with AR10s.. They let me return it and he is looking for adiffrent one.. So my money is tied up thru them. If he dont find anything in next couple days i will ask for my Card to be refunded and ill just go thru armalite from now on.. Lesson learned on part.. Hate not having any good gun dealers or shops within 100 miles, so im in it kinda alone, other then the help i get on this site im clueless. :unsure: Is there a book i can read? hate having this nice of a gun and not know everything there is to know about it.. I also looked at the SWS page and still cant find one thats 8".. Goes from 7 to 9...

I understand, OP bought a EZ install Daniel Defense.
Those are slightly better than the stock poly handguards.

I got mine from Armalite and it was easy to install. It may not be the lightest one out there but it's work and the barrel free floats I am happy.

I got mine from Armalite as well, and I must say that it installed very easy and fits like a glove. Certainly isn't the lightest one I've seen, but all around I really am happy with it.
