They are well made...and stand tall and strong...You may want to look at the "Billet" lower as well...it may serve you well being a Billet lower (Stronger)...Than the Forged if it is a piston type system....
My Thanks...Target On.

My understanding is that forged is actually just a bit stronger than billet where it counts. Here is a good article with the scientific numbers and a good explanation on what they mean;
The whole Billet vs Forged has been going on for years....it all depends on the material used and the thickness...Most ARs are of forged receivers...but some top quality ones, such as MI's, are machined from Billets of top grade material....the Perfect example is the debate with AKs....Stamped or Billets...they both have their good points and such...
Yeah they Do....I am hopping they may go the route of the 7.62 (.308) in a year or so....

Everything else being equal - Any billet part will either be heavier or weaker than a corresponding forged part. A billet part has to be made thicker/heavier in order to approach the strength of a forged part.
It's all about how the grain of the metal flows. There is no debate.
Stamping vs. machining is a completely different topic, and totally irrelevant to ARs.
It really comes down to preference..I know several who prefer the Billets receivers over forged.... Though Forged is the industry Standard....
As for the AK comment....I was using it as a "loose" example....
