United nations Ammo Co has Lake City M118 LR back in stock.
$625 for 500 rounds shipped in the continental US. This is the real deal with the 175 gr SMK that AR-10's are so fond of.
I'm starting to see more ammo available local as well, even saw some FGMM with 175 SMK's for $25 a box at Cabelas on Monday. No 9mm or .22 LR yet though.
Well this is good news...... Is that a good price for the M118 LR....? I'm to new at this.. I just don't know..... I will be very happy when 22LR is available at a fair price.......
I've seen it sell higher even before the last scare. You might catch it a little cheaper at a gun show but this is about as good as it gets online right now. It has been hard to find, these guys have had a few cases at different times and have stuck with their price so you wouldn't be dealing with gougers like cheaper than dirt. It rarely hangs around past the weekend after they list it, sometimes it sells out the same day.
LC brass sells around 30 cents each(Wideners has some now) when you find it so if you figure in the value of the brass after you fire the round it doesn't seem as bad.
80 cents a round for 175gr match ammo, I have shot it out to 620m out of my SPR. Was grouping right at 3" with five shots. Darn good stuff. I have about 2500 rounds stashed away.

Yep........see the OP's post........500 rounds for $625 is eighty cents a round.
If I remember correctly, I paid 57 cents for a low price, and I think $1.27 for a high price.

Better check that math, 500 rounds at $625 comes to $1.25 per. Still not bad when you consider it comes to your door for that.
