The X-25 is a .308 caliber 50 round single stack compact drum designed for AR .308 SR/25 rifles.
In the video they say "Will fit in most AR .308 rifles"... Which I take to mean they fail to recognize AR stands for Armalite, and what they really mean to say works with most SR-25 pattern NON-AR .308 rifles like the R-25, LR-308. I have yet to confirm that though.
Thoughts?
I'm wondering if they can be convinced to cut the mag catch into their M14 variant for the AR-10
Wow I think I'd rather dump my money into a high dollar scope, unless I had that elusive lisence for the fullauto sear  + that adds alot of weight and I got dished for a couple of grams on the 45 deg. mounts  can't wait to see the duel 100rd drum
A 50 round drum? Do they also sell a tripod and T&E for it? Because after you put that drum on there it's gonna be so heavy that it'll become a crew-served battle rifle.
I love stuff like this. I think It's great, just wish it would work for the armalite. I have thought about modding one of the beta c-mags to work since they did make one for the M14. Granted I'm not in that kind of shape anymore, but it can't be any worse than running down the street with a 240B... but on a more serious note, from a tripod is exactly what I have in mind for something like that.
I completely agree with the weight issue. The AR-10 with Heavy Barrel is hefty enough with just the 20 rounds under it. I just chuckled at the Beta-C mag for M14. 100 rounds hanging by a plastic wall from the mag catch just didn't sound like a good idea, and a nightmare to carry (Though if I had to make a
Technical
I'd probably consider just that, but on a swiveling post in the bed). Here's the old link to my last try at modifying M-14 mags to AR-10:
M-14 to AR-10 mag conversion
50 rounds is still hefty, but not as ridiculous as 100, and the aluminum housing might handle the stress of the mag catch better. I'd still prefer they make one specifically for the AR-10 though (Especially as they associate the term AR with 308 in their ads).
I'd get one just for the fun and the "WTF" at the range.
Just for a"WTF" that's what I like to do :silly: maybe I'll add that to one of my winter projects I'll pm you crux for your input and experiance  I think we need at least 75 if not 100 rounds Titanium might be the answeer!
