I normally do all my shipping using USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail. They provide boxes free and I can make and print the labels right here at my computer and use my credit card to pay for them. Really a slick operation, and depending on the size of the box, if it fits in my mailbox the mailman picks them up.

That's awesome and will work for me if Mr. 13fColt would be kind enough to give me a ruling on those mags.
Are they the ones we like buddy? I don't have anything handy to compare it to at the darn moment.

I sent you a private message ROFCIBC. Since you are new, there should be a red flag showing that will take you to it under your avatar photo.
Just for my own edification is the different width of the rib on the back of the magazine so only Armalite magazines will fit their rifles and other brands/manufacturers can't use them? Reason I ask my POF will accept a whole slew of different magazines (DPMS, Magpul, Knight Armament and (according to their web site) the AR-10 "waffle". One of the magazines I got was a DPMS and says "19RD" and is shorter than the others. The other two that do fit have "CMMG INC" stamped on the bottom.
The one Magpul that came with the rifle is some sort of non metallic material, and unlike the others has a very slight curve in it.
As I said in my profile, I'm new to the AR platform firearms so am on a learning curve. Can't wait to get to the local range once my order for FMJ ammo comes in. I can't see blowing that expensive stuff out just to sight it in and kill some paper targets.

The second gen magazines are shape that way to allow the bolt hold open on the last round. Armalite mags are based on M14 mags, which normally have a lug in that area for that weapons magazine catch. Since the magwell on the armalite was already shaped to clear that lug, that same dimension was used on the gen2 mags to permit the follower tab to lift the bolt catch after the last round is fired. Old school converted M14 mags used a modified follower with a spring plunger, with limited success.
