They are pretty rare. I owned one once. If I recall correctly they are 2 inches longer than the regular length model to cover the ultra-mag extended length gas system.
What would it take to use this on my basic flattop model?
Should thread right on, will need to take apart the barrel nut assembly and re index the tube. Other than that you will need a barrel wrench.

And, it is very uncontrollable. Nights and days is all messed up, especially since the back went out and the following surgery.Trying to watch some of My favorite drama shows on discover, Nat Geo, etc. is impossible. I start watching, then, doze off, awaken, and, something totally different is on.
