Just curious if anyone else has had this problem.
I cleared everything, cookies, history, cache and all.
Still same problem.
Any ideas, anyone.
I have a page loaded with some photos in it, "Reloading Help" and I do`nt want to have to do this all over again.
It seems to happen on a couple of other forums too, and, once in a while if I am doing an innernet search.
I wonder if it could be the routing of the signals and an interruption between Me and the destination, like a broke down line or a bad storm, something like that.
Not really.
I am thinking it may have been during a high time to the server, like, quite a few people posting and looking.
I tried patching the original post, by adding in the pics; and it would not go through.
Might have been all the kilobytes of infurmation in My post.
I could post comments in other posts, and, I even posted a comment in the firearms cleaning help topic, but, when I would try posting in that post with all the pics. it would not go through.
I closed down the computer, went in and had a sammich and a laydown for a bit. I then came back out and did a hilight/right click, copy and paste in a new "reply to topic", added in the pics. and it went through.
The only thing that was the matter is the pic. I had of the pan and patches was as an attachment at the bottom of the posting.
I`m thinking that with all of the pics. that the server was just busy enough that by trying to shove that much more information through, it sort of bogged it down.
I'm having that problem from time to time and have come to the conclusion that it is high usage times and due to my ISP kids getting outa school soon so ya know what that means Other than that I've switched everything over to Chrome and seem to be running a lot faster than Explorer, gave up on firefox a couple years ago
I guess I will have to give that chrome thing a try, I am a bit reluctant to use anything google any more as it seems that they donated a bunch of money to the gun~grabbers. I now use Bing for My search provider.
I do`nt know what microsofts standing is on firearms, but I have not heard of them donating money to any firearms confiscations organizations.
The server connection error most likely happened because of a session timing out or because of a temporary glitch in the internet.
The internet is like network of highways and the traffic from the server to you finds the path of least resistance to get you the data as fast as possible.
Major websites run across dozens of servers and if you can't reach one it will redirect to the other. AR10T runs on only one server so if there is a hiccup in the pathway between you and the server you will get a connection error temporarily.
I've been bitten by this a few times. Too many times I've clicked submit or save and had the same issue.
One thing I'll do is extend the session lifetime so that anyone signed in stays signed in longer before the session times out.
Thank You Martin.
It has not happened for a while now, I am thinking that due to some mighty bad storms over in the south and east that, the lines had been severed. :busted: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
