I am new here but don't get to use my computer alot or have internet access at work where I am the majority of the time. I dont know if you guys have looked into the App tapatalk. But it is the ability to use forums on your phone and it is easier to get involved. It only costs a few dollars for the app but I have been able to keep up with the Remington, 6.8 forum and M4carbine.

I've been running dolphin browser on my droid x for quite some time.
It's not perfect, Mucks up finding buttons and text boxes on some sites, but a lot better than the stock browser.
Forum use is what sold me on dolphin. I've personally found it (nearly) as functional as tapatalk in this regard.
