Was inserting the AR10 bolt back in the carrier and pushed it in too far. Now it is stuck. I guess the gas rings are stuck over a ledge in the carrier. Do I have to pound it out??
Why would they even make something like this?
Tell us all your secret. I have one of those BCGs and I learned early on not to let it go all the way back. I fanigled with that thing for 10 minutes before I got it back out. Gobbed it with oil and wrung it out.
Well I could not tap my bolt out of the carrier. I called Armalite and found out my 10T is an early one and some of the early bolt carriers may have been milled out a little too much. So my bolt was stuck. I sent my bolt/carrier back to Armalite repair department to let them deal with it. They sent me a new bolt/carrier. Turn around time from sending to receiving was less than a week and no cost other than shipping bolt/carrier to Armalite.
I will try it out later this week
I know I am a little late to this thread but it would be great if one of you that is familiar with the Bushmaster BAR 10 to explain and maybe upload a few quick snap shots of what can happen here with pushing the bold to far into the carrier and getting the snap rings caught in a groove if I understand what happened. If you could explain it to me I will take pics of mine and upload them.
This kind of scares me I haven't had mine very long and haven't shot it yet much less stripped it down. Please share your wisdom.
