In my experience the angle of the crown doesn't matter as much as having a good clean break between the bore and the crown. No burrs. Some say the 11 degree is best. But many use a 90 degree or counterbored crown. In any case, most factories still leave a 60 remnant from the lathe turning. So at most, the jury is still out as to what is "best".
