Here's a couple shots of what you can do with a roll of camoform and about 20 minutes. Just waiting to get some and the rails and had this laying around so I threw it on there.

It's a self-adhesive wrap. Sort of like coban, but it's reusable, which I just found out when I went to their website. I'm not sure if I would wrap the barrel or gas block d/t heat issues, but it's really grippy. I did the whole weapon with 1.5 rolls, and used the leftover to do the scope and wrap the grips for my other weapons pistol grips and foregrips and a ka bar handle. I'll definitely pick up some more of this stuff. I suppose I spelled it wrong in the original post as it's 2 words Camo Form. Here's the website:
Pretty Sweet Sam....I see you ditched that POS rail....good job.
From the way it looks, don't lay it down in the grass...LOL
Hey, how does it feel with out the riser....?

From the picture, you'll have to go the 104 at least...but remember, you will need the low profile type sights,,,,less than 1/2" laydown...don't want you to get hacked again my friend.

Thought that looked like an interesting idea and a cheap experiment. Been wanting to get the AR10TCB refinished but didn't want to drop a lot of cash. Nice to have the stainless steel barrel covered now. May not keep it like this but I'm going to use it a while and see what I think of the stuff.

Real ugly up close, but from a few feet back I think it's quite convincing.
I see you went with the ACU pattern as well. Hooah! Nice job covering up the whole weapon like that. How many rolls did it take you anyway? I ended up splitting some of one of mine down the middle to have some slimmer pieces for the detail work and covered what I did with less than 2. I'm not sure if I'd do a mag dump with that stuff on my barrel though. Hmm, maybe a heat test is in order.
