I have a Red X Arms AR-10 .308 and want to get a Phase 5 Tactical extended bolt release EBRv2 but can't get a clear answer as to weather or not it will function on my rifle. I also need to know how to remove the roll pin to install it.

I looked at the website for both your rifle and the bolt catch. The catch is designed to work with KAC-pattern rifles; DPMS uses this spec and it looks like Red X uses the same spec too, so off hand I'd say it'll work. As for removing the roll pin, you need a very small punch and a tack hammer.

Awesome, thanks. As for the roll pin on my rifle, it's only exposed on one side not both like most ar-15 models (see picks) so I think theres a different method for removing it
