Well, since I have brothers in the military with tons of .223 clips AND its cheaper, AND I have all the reloading goodies, I think Ill go .223 for my first build...seems like a safewr and cheaper option. So, where do I start? I will probably get a Rock River upper since they have the 1:7 and 1:8 in a good price range. What about tools and the reciever? Thanks for the help guys
I think you'll be happy with that set up, if you're only going to shoot out to 300 yards.
It's good you have access to a lot of clips. Make sure you get some good magazines too. I like the new Magpuls, or any of the mil-spec aluminum mags with green followers work well too.
