Well it was done way back of at the start Mr Stoner did for the gov and I would guess you could do it.

Some where on this board is an old post involving just that...I believe Brother Crux found the plans via the Patten office to the very device that was designed for the AR-10...
As far as a Belt Fed .308....They Called it a M-60.... :dry:
