the last AR10T was created by foxhunter
I was surfing sites looking at what ar-10's were for sale and saw a guy advertizing "The last 24 inch barreled AR 10 T to be produced in 2009" for sale.He said the gun was produced in Mid January, and there may be no more of that type for the rest of the year. I think he was trying to get around $3,000 out of it. If that person is on this forum or if anyone else knows what is going on at armalite, I would like to know. Is demand that high? Are parts scarce? Are they all going to military or law enforcement? I gave $1700 for my ar10T last October and thought that was high. From what I see people asking for them now, I guess I stole it.

I am hearing that Armalite has a contract south of Mexico and they are sucking the last tit to get any vender parts. Their past practices have biten them is seems. They have a do not sale list on their web site which includes lots of common parts.
I offered to make gas tubes for them as a jester to get other parts because gas tubes were on the list. They refused. So I will continue to make gas tubes for the other companys and have put Armalite on the deep 6 list and will have no more contact with them. I got in some DPMS barrel extentions today for custom barrel 10s and as you know parts are freeing up some. DPMS bolts, barrel extentions, and bolt carriers will interchange in Armalite systems. All of my time has been spent on finishing up the new gas piston system for the 10s and testing it. Getting the marketing stuff ready has been sporting. And let me add this, everyone wants piston systems now and they don't need them. The current gas tube works fine, people are to lazy to clean their rifles, this is the main thing. The 4473 should have a cleaning section on it if you have seen the mess that I have lately. I could write a book on Armalite and some of the year in and out messes that they have had but this is not the plase for that.MSH

You did good with the $1700 purchase. I know someone who sold a super SASS for $3700. It's a seller's market right now. Anything that might get banned, even junk, is selling for premium prices.
