Sample Legislation: The Ammunition Accountability Act
Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.
There is an email circulating stating that Obama is trying to get our guns through strict regulation of ammo and reloading supplies and limiting the amount and length of time that ammunition can be kept in private homes.
I went on line to the Illinois government websight and found that indeed several bills were introduced in the Illinois house in 2008(before Obama) , but to date remain in the rules committee, and no action is pending. It is possible that these bills may die in committe. However, anyone living in the above states should check the status of these bills in their state and contact their representative if necessary. I suspect the NRA is watching these, and I have heard nothing from them.
No chance of passing in Arizona this year, but that doesn't stop them from introducing it. In fact, Arizona stands a good chance of enacting some rather progressive bills for gun rights.
McCain is not a gun rights supporter. He stated he doesn't even own a gun. My point is, be careful who you support. I never trusted the guy. Way too wishy-washy. Now Sara Palin is a gun rights proponent!
