I got to shoot it's baby brother this weekend. (338 Lapua) We were testing out some lathe turned bullets that a local company is trying to come out with. The bullets didn't shoot that well through it. They did shoot fairly well through my 338 Edge though.
I wasn't that impressed to tell you the truth. That brake is about the ugliest thing I've ever seen!
You got it bro....
Hey if it is ugly, that means it will work even better...
A friend of mine in CA. has an AR-30 in the .338. He love it...I haven't heard on his furthest shots yet...but I know he will when he get around to it....
I am hoping it arrives soon...but I still have some thing to put in place so it will be a few before I get out and shoot it...
Trying to find somewhere over 400 yards is proving difficult...at best....but I have a few leads...

Edge....."Do you have any public lands near by that you can go shoot on? "

As in what kind of public lands...
As you know my long-range shooting brother....the Back stop is the main safety issue...there is plenty of "flat" ground...but the max range (so to speak) is out to 2 miles.. so I need some thing to stop it....to be safe..

I forget that I'm spoiled with lots of hills and mountains around me and I only have to drive a few miles to find public lands in which to shoot safely on. In fact I'm going today on my lunch hour. There is a nice spot only 7 minutes from my work place. It's not 1000 yards, but I can get out to 200 yards easily.
Yeah....I bet you are.....You suck...
No really bro, I envy you guys where some of you live...everybody thinks it is so easy to just go out and shoot here...most farmers DON'T WANT YOU ON THEIR LAND...and you have to be careful as to where you are sending lead....
I think I may have a few spots I can check out....and am going to check with a few people that may know of somewhere..we will see...otherwise 400 yards is what it will be...
Oh I almost forgot....It is here....I got up to the wife saying "they called", yeah at 8:00..PM...so it was here for a while...I need to get my FFL....that is all there is to it...
Will post up more soon....
