Assembled vs Unassembled?

Assembled vs Unassembled? was created by Zabby
I am looking to build an ar-15, thanks to you guys on this site I have been able to decide I want to build one. It appears I can buy comlplete parts such as the upper and lower etc. What are the advantages of assembling it yourself? Will it really be cheaper after I get the tools? ( I already have handloading and basic tools ) Thanks for the help guys.

some things that you need to think about are like this...

Do you feel comfortable building your own?
If for some odd reason, and it goes down, can you fix it?

With a factory built rifle, you get a warenty, any where from 3 years to life time.
With a personal built rifle, you get the satisfaction of saying that I built that and take pride in it.

Then like you already stated, you need tools too. Would it be cost effective to buy them and have them sit around?
