Hey Crux, I think someone liked your design, well they say imitation is flattering (chuckle chuckle).

Well it's kinda like yours.
Same idea, just smaller caliber. Sometimes it's so odd to me to see the 5.56 magazine hanging out of a stoner rifle. I don't own an AR-15, as I figure my AK-47 would be fine for anything closer than the AR-10 is needed for.
I probably should reconsider that, as EVERYONE has the AR-15. However I don't envision long treking through jungles anytime soon and can't afford an NFA full-auto rifle, so the light weight and full auto controllability advantages the M16 has over the AR10 are lost on me. For civil defense without the option of full-auto, seems to me that making up for the lower rate of fire with more power/reach has merit, and with the PWS compensator I use controlability is not an issue. I think it's a remote chance such a thing would ever be needed anyway, so even more importantly the AR-10 is just fun to shoot at the range, and it always catches people's attention.
As always Crux, you bring a note of fewness with the input (that's a compliment by the way) I do have one for you that I found that you might like given your profile pic.
Hope this works!!!

Heh I was having a discussion with one of my associates this weekend, who is an acomplished martial artist. We discussed the certainty that despite the input of some nay sayers, Samurai would have absolutely jumped on such a rifle if it were available in their time. You can find paintings of samurai with muzzle loaders.
As the image you found suggests, martial arts are not so much about the weapon, be it sword or fist, but rather the clutivation and discipline of one's inner spirit.
As a 9 yr veteran of the martial arts myself, I would have to agree with you on all of it. I myself find that in alot of things I do, the teachings are incorporated into it at a subconscious level. Some would say that it is instinct, but truly, it is in the mind and soul of every warrior, honor, discipline, dedication, and compassion, all make up one's mind set.
