Probably the last thing a few ISIS fighters saw yesterday. This picture of a B-1 was snapped in the Syrian Kurd town of Kobani ysterday.

It's a beautiful view if you ask me but smart bombs just don't seem to be getting it done. Personally, I think a bombing campaign called New Rolling Thunder using 1,000 and 2,000 pound HE ordnance is just the message that we need to be sending....B52 Baby!

I am sure we were dropping leaflets. Tree top dispersal at mach 1 probably helps the dispersal pattern. Thereby winning the hearts and minds of more combatants.

It seems to me, politics are controlling the whole action. The Turks seem to holding out for their purposes, we are certainly holding out for our purposes, the Iraqis are holding out for their purposes.

It just seems like a half hearted response and the Kurds are just pawns in an ever evolving political cluster f&&&.

Half measures never win.

The "smart bombs" will only be effective with boots on the ground to direct them and then follow up. Anything else is pissing into the wind. :twocents:

Learned more about this picture. It was snapped by a Turkish Kurd who has snuck across the border into Kobani and is hiding in a pepper patch, snapping pictures of the battle on his phone cam and posting them on Twitter! Gutsy! The more I hear about the Kurds, the more I respect them. One group that isn't giving up easy to the Daesh (Arab derogatory term for ISIS).
