saw on the news the Italians are upset that Armalite is using the statue of David in an ad.
It shows Daivd holding an AR50a1 instead of his slingshot, and Armalite added insult to injury by using a fig leaf to cover up David's exposed genitalias. I am not sure which upset them most, the gun or the genitals. The Italian Culture minister has threatened Armalite with a lawsuit unsless they withdraw the ad.
This is probably good for Armalite as they will now get a lot more attention of the ad.Of course the reporters had to screw something up. They called the rifle a 501A.
