I just wanted to start up our Happy Thanksgiving Day thread early.
Name a few things that you'll be giving thanks for..
My wife and sons, my life now, my parents who are both still healthy and hanging tough and the Blessings God has bestowed upon me to keep me alive and in one piece long enough to enjoy and appreciate what I now have...
I'm also thankful that we all have this forum where we can all discuss our favorite rifles, tips, parts and some fellowship as we move forward into these troubling times.
May our warriors in the field and there families be blessed with strength and comradery in the field as they press on, our wounded receive all the courage, care and assistance they need and our fallen never be forgotten.
Happy Thanksgiving Day Members...a few hours in advance.
My wife, my son, my health and my friends( and you people are included in that). And that I am more fortunate than most the world's population in where I Iive. I am thankful for the people who protect us from harm.
Thank You all. Thank you to all the men and women in uniform past and present, your hard work is noted. America is a better place for it. Let us hope and strive for a America of free men and women in the coming year. I am truly thankful.
Sharkey, You pretty much summed it up right there.
I also thank God for His blessings, for working in My life and for the things seen and unseen and what He has in store for Me.
I was thinking, the other day, about all the things God has granted me, especially My sobriety and the release from the cravings for that next drink, without My sobriety, I would be nothing, I would have a long time ago been stuffed into the ground.
Reminds Me, I usually run an add in the paper, goes like this.
"Sobriety, the very best gift You can give Your family this holiday season", I then put in My phone number. Ive done this three,four years, never got a call, but, if it saves one drunks life in ten years or more, it will be well worth the effort, at least to Me.
I'm going to cheat and use a quote I like;
"Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.”
