I was in GM dealer on Friday to get one of our cars checked out for tire noise, and while waiting I decided to use their complementary WiFi service by Netscape to access the forum. Access was denied due to a "prohibited" web site. Specifically a " weapons" web site. Two things: 1. That dealer has seen the last of my business until they discontinue Netscape, and I told them so. 2. I will never do any business with any entity of Netscape. Pass this on if you would.
I didn't even know Netscape still existed. I do find it confusing that GM would pull that, considering they at least used too sponsor quite a bit of shooting & hunting related stuff.
Netscape used to be an internet dial up service long ago. I hadn't heard of it for years, and then I saw it come up when I tried to access AR10 T .com at the GM dealer, saying it was a prohibited site on the Netscape system. It looks like they have expanded into providing complimentary WiFi and other services.
