Woke up nicely, now getting ready for church, then visit my father at the Fire Station and give him his gifts, then off to do some shooting with the pellet rifles with the wife and boys. Then it's home for some Rib-eyes on the grill.
Nothing in the world, that I've ever done, compares to being there every single day as my sons grow.
My youngest boy (7) won his grade and will be competing in a multi-school spelling B on Monday which I'll be taking a few hours from work to go take pride in watching.
Got 2 fine sons, an awesome wife and could not be a prouder and happier father or husband.
Best wishes to you men out there who feel the same as I do on OUR day - Father's Day. :usa:

3 Schools, 27 kids - the 3 best from each 2nd grade class in each school and my little guy takes a 3rd !!! He got an early out and some ice cream with Dad for that showing...
Father's day turned out to be quite a little shoot-off with the pellet guns.
Even my mother (71yo) did some shooting and this was her warm up target - I just stood there laughing as she just walked up and did nothing less than astonish everyone...
I emailed the photos just now after pulling them off the camera so she could send it to her sister and nephews down south so they could see that "Sharkey's Mom" don't mess around...
That's my oldest son shooting some metal spinners at 40-45 yards in the background.
These were taken with the new camera my wife got me for father's day since the one I've had for 12 years has apparently decided to retire...

Your Mom looks to be a natural with that rifle! :twothumbs:
We've always done lots of shooting at family gatherings. Dad and I decided to mess with Mom once by putting out a target that had a dead center hit on it already. We were shooting muzzleloaders at 100 yards and figured she wouldn't get close, she took her shot and to my surprise and embarrassment there was another hole touching the phony one  , she made her point that day and still gives us a hard time about it!
The family that shoots together survives together! :usa:
That's actually the first weapon of any kind she's touched since she was a girl and my Uncle was teaching her to shoot. She's VERY religious and currently the Sunday School Superintendent at our church. She just sat down, blew away some targets and then reminded us all that she "doesn't believe in guns" although she votes FOR us all day...
I laughed and said to my father that now I knew why he never wanted to keep guns around the house - afraid Mom'd come-a-lookin for his ass with fire in her eyes and redemption at her fingertip when they were younger...
