Just be careful with it. Serpa holsters are known to lock the weapon inside, requiring the holster be destroyed to get it out. Happened to my Lt in the sandbox.
On the other hand, my brother uses one for EDC for several years now without issue.
Ya, I was really leery about getting away from the normal old school holsters, but well its fast when ya get used to it and really locks the weapon in place! I hope just not to well! Also a lot a versatility as far as belt, clip on and being able to change the angles.
Thank's for the info and I'm going to keep a close eye on the locking system.
For CC I have a couple of Fobus pancake style I like a lot, one for my Sig 2022 and another for my full size 1911. For my Officer size 1911 I like a DeSantis leather pancake style that has a strap that goes between the hammer and the pin when it is "cocked and locked". Probably not necessary, but gives me a little more peace of mind. I have a Gould and Goodrich belt holster I like for the Astras.
Little Mil-Tech thumb break holster that I got as a gift. It has fit pretty much every semi-auto I've put in it. Not big enough for the Desert Eagle, but it can be adjusted to fit my 1911, M9, P6, and even a PPK clone.
