I miss my KLR650 more than any other bike I've owned. It was my first 'real' motorcycle and that thing literally took me everywhere. If I had it my way I'd get a pre-08 with 8gal baja tank, dohicky upgrade, Z-clutch, KX carb, and never let it go.
I am digging the shotgun carrier, where did you find that?
@13fcolt, my 2011 KLR was the first bike I ever financed. I have had bikes all my life, but now that I'm a father and a husband I realized my crazy riding days are over. Now days I just use it to get to work (17 miles) and hit the trails whenever I can. I'm currently farkling the hell out of it this weekend with a set of front crash bars, new seat, barkbuster's, heated grips(Little Late), and a jet kit. I did the doo as soon as I got it and added some rear crash bars that protect my bike from my bags I put on every now and then. On that day I took the bags off, got a scarab from the local army supply and zip tied the hell out of to the crash bars. It came out pretty well. The pelican on the back has the foam cut out for my G22 and accessories. So if the shot gun isn't attached the pelican is full. My wife and I are taking our annual river trip with friends next weekend and she's letting me take the KLR. So I've got a lot of work do this weekend to make it ready. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!
