I took lots of videos of my daughter learning to swim above and below water with the
Lifeproof iPhone case.
About 16-months ago I was waste deep in water on a construction site. When I reached for my cell phone to hold it above water I realized it had already taken the plunge and ruined my phone.
I got a new phone, an iPhone 4, and the first case I purchased for it was an Otterbox Defender series case. The Otterbox case was fair but it got gunked up easily and had lots of crevices for dirt to accumulate.
While talking with a friend about how they needed to make an iPhone case that was waterproof he whipped out his
Lifeproof
case -- I was immediately in love.
My Lifeproof case has held up to the beach, swimming, and everyday in the side pocket of my Carhartt carpenters pants. I rinse it clean under the kitchen faucet every other day or so.
Surviving accidents? Yup! My 18 month old decided the best place for my phone was the toilet.

My Lifeproof iPhone 4 case has held up under conditions no other cell phone case can claim.
Waterproof case, I don't use no stinkin waterproof case...
Was out on my jet ski, sitting there in the middle of the lake talking. Dropped it on the way to putting it in my storage box, but dropped it, it bounced on the rail and into the water. I dived and could see the glow of the fone heading south, finally caught up to it on the bottom and it was well over 7 ft (I am 6'+ and with my hand up it was not out of the water. Got on my rig, opened the battery box, pulled it and went to shore where I laid it on top my Jeep, went back to the lake and spent the rest of the day out there. Got to the Jeep about 6 or so (summer day in Texas) put the battery back in, fired up the fone and kept on talkin...probably one in a million..
If I actually HAD one of those iphone thing a ma jigs, I would definitely want to get some of that stuff M. Those things aren't cheap and those cases look like you could almost whip em AT someone and the phone would still be good which is, ya know, always handy...
