I just finished reading his book. His account of his career, and the stresses that it caused in his family relationships and how well things were going for them and himself makes this an even more tragic event. Our veterans have given up a lot to serve our country. Non veterans like myself should never forget that. I just heard about Ron Paul's twitter comment. Entirely inappropriate. Moby, did you mean February 11 instead of January 11?
It's also a good lesson for my child.
I'm keeping her from school Monday to go and pay respects.
I think it's important to explain to her the sacrifices that our veterans make and also the sacrifices their families make.
Which is why it is so important to respect all veterans.
It's a lesson I hope she'll remember.
I just don't know what to say about it. It's just tragic and God Bless him, his family, all who knew and cared about him and all those men he saved by engaging the enemy with such skill and fortitude.
