....all of the political crap is settled, HOPEFULLY in the favor of us law abiding owners, and then we can all just get back to lightening things up, talking about our rifles, telling some good range stories and stop all of the stress and tension that is gripping all of our lives right now.
God Bless you men who are hanging with the information blitz's, the endless links to political "contact your congressman" sites, the written letters the phone calls and all of the people we all do our best to reach out to on a daily basis.
We have passed some very good information THRU our site and will continue to do so and hopefully it is reaching the right people and before anything at all is settled, I just wanted to say thank you to ALL of our members for standing tall and doing your part.
Rifles, parts, magazine and ammo prices skyrocketing, gougers climbing out of every corner of the globe to cash in - it's all just insane and for those of you that stand tall, hold it together, do your part to help us KEEP our rights and hopefully stabilize the situation - I just want to say, sincerely, thank you.
No matter WHAT the outcome of it all, I'm proud to be a member of such a site with such active and supportive members and I look forward to being a member here for a VERY long time...
Sincerely and with Pride and Gratitude for your continued efforts
Thank you - and Press On Men - we've still a ways to go.
Sharkey
Hang on Sharky,
I think it's going to be a long ride.
Four years to be exact. The left sees this as a make or break moment.
We'll be lucky if internal termoil remains bloodless. Something I hope we all pray for.
I do enjoy the maturity on this board as opposed to some other sites I visit with people calling for war. Obviously very confused people.
Ever read Obama's book, Dreams of my Father. He is very anti USA.
And he's got the media and left behind him.
When did it become cool to be against the Constitution?
THAT's the dividing line in our nation.
Some see it as an outdated document.
I see it as a foundation.
Moby your right it will be a long four years but I can't help but feel a little releaved. I also see the cup half full we as a group should push for and repeal the PFZ legislation, because if there is no support for gun control maybe there is support for more honest law abiding citizens to carry there. We need to adress this and also push for reduced restrictions on CPL/ CCW lis. I know my wife had a change in heart after the shootings and I think that maybe alot of other fence sitters did also. My 2 Cents
I guess I'm not as optimistic but I totally agree on pushing back the gun free zones. Their just kill boxes. I keep eritting, emailing, and in general being a loud mouth with my reps.

I just meant for THIS skirmish Moby.. God knows we've got a long ride with this mutt and although we're holding our own right now, no one knows what the future will bring so I'm with you on that account.
All we can REALLY do, other than leaning on our politicians, is pray and pray some more that we don't have any more school shootings or mass killings of ANY kind for that matter. Not just as gun owners, but as concerned men and women who truly want these kinds of things to cease.
We all know that if some nuts wants to get his hands on a gun or any weapon that can kill, no amount of laws is going to stop him and we need to invite (and KEEP) God back into America and HOPEFULLY he will see that IF something like this occurs again, there'll be an equally armed and better qualified SANE person nearby to put an end to him quickly...
I finally got the rifle I have wanted for 6-8 years and now its so expensive to buy ammo. I only have 90 rounds and i need to site it in and its just win FMJ 147gr (40 free round with gun) and magtech 150gr FMJ was $65 for 50 rounds
I can't even find a verity of load to see what it likes, also thinking about getting into reload now rather than later as I can find all that stuff, worse case i reload this brass a few times lol (see my thread in the reload section)
my local shop has 5 20 round DPMS mags for my new ar-10a but they have $44 scratched out and want $99 now I can't find pmags anywhere or even 5 or 10 round mags would at least be something
There are 3 LGS's near me (more about 1 hour or so) and 2 of the 3 are gouging prices like crazy. One hasn't marked up a single thing unless it costs her more to get it in the door. Same ammo was $14.00/20 less at her store. I mentioned it to one of the owners of one of the other stores and he said he can sell it for that so why shouldn't he. Guess which one just sold me a new rifle? Guess which ones won't be getting any business from me or my friends unless we ABSOLUTELY have to?
I think you can figure it out.
I bought a Stag Arms AR-15 from the one dealer that isn't gouging and mentioned it to the other dealer. He said he would take it on consignment if I wanted to sell it and he could probably sell it for $800 more than I bought it for. Scum bags. I would sell it at the place I bought it for the original price first.
I can't wait till all this crap is over! I don't think there is a chance that congress will pass a gun ban but people are so scared they will pay anything now!
Yep. Gougers and creeps are coming out where you'd least expect em bud. Let's ALL remember those guys that stand by us later on though - good business is good business and those are the people who deserve our loyalty always.
I mean, if I had a SPARE rifle or something and was in trouble for cash that would be one thing and as far as I'm concerned, an "allowed" thing (cuz you're in a bind and prices are good right now) but for businesses to do it and for men to do it "just because they can" and they have something that is in short supply, that is scummy all day to me and I'll personally remember THEM too...
