Love it... :twothumbs:
I too make it a point to correct people on this...some get pissy about it, oh well.
I know someone who bought a AR-15...first time he looked at one...he put his Clip in backwards...that scared me, then I educated him... :whip:
A clip is what you use on your tie, a Magazine is what is in the rifle..
he still calls them Clips.. :S
Truthfully I used to call Pistol mags "Clips" and rifles had Mags...but I have gotten away from that with Age and Wisdom... :banghead: :rotfl:

What do expect from "liberal" arts college majors who write all this advertising? Most have never seen a real "gun", only on TV or the movies.
You do know I added those words mySELF right? Ya know, as a "thread enhancing, pictorial antagonizer" so to speak...
Later, I'll give a little seminar on other thread enhancers like "scintillating banter with people you don't really know" and "editing capabilities - fun tool or dangerous weapon of the demented"..

I'm guilty of this and been trying to stop. Doesn't matter so much to me, but seems to bug others. If you know what people are talking about why does it matter?
Ya have to know my wife, and that's when she handed me her hair clip for the AR-10 ArmaLite, now we only call them magazines, otherwise I guess it really dosnt matter as long as both parties know what your talking about
