Well said. As I said in another topic, I have a relative that rests in the engine room of the Arizona. Good men who gave their best for the country. let us never forget them or all the others who made the ultimate sacrifice. God bless them.

Thank you Akai! I just finished putting our flags back at full-staff.

First thing this morning I received a phone call asking why our flags were at half-staff.

I've been to the Arizona and it was a truly amazing experience.

Every person who calls themselves an American should take a few minutes to think about our Country and what it has done for humanity. It might get people to behave a little more civilly towards one another.

God Bless the :usa:

My grandfather (career USN), with his family, was stationed in Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked. Growing up, it always came up as a discussion at family gatherings and I heard several accounts of what happened from the initial attack to the aftermath to the rescue and salvage efforts. When we, my brothers and I, would sit at my grandmother's table for breakfast, we'd ate from bowls that had been salvaged from the sunken ships and were reminded of Pearl Harbor. Though I was never there, I got quite a perspective of what took place on December 7th, 1941.
