A while back, walking out of the VFW I took a moment of silence on my way to my truck and just looked up at the flag. As I looked up, this old feller came along and perched himself atop the pole.

Crappy cellphone or not Colt, taking a moment like that is something special always and thanks for thinking of us and capturing it.
I can't tell you how many times I've had the same feeling - and at the same time, wished everyone could feel it, my wife, my sons, and every single person that lives here.
I have always believed, and will always believe, that if every single American, woke up tomorrow morning and thought, "today, and from now on, I am going to do my best at my job and to be a better citizen of my country and take pride in every single step I take from now on to be an American", what was once such a beautiful thing, would turn around faster than anyone could imagine and we would quickly return to our days of Glory, Honor, and Pride as a nation.
I have a radio station up here in RI that plays our National Anthem every morning at 5:45. Every single morning at 5:45am, you will see me standing near my desk, with my radio cranked up, listening to it with pride. I don't make a big deal out of it, I just stand, listen, and take pride.
