I'm with ya on the crowds thing. I just don't do em.
Wife and I sat here going thru Amazon ordering stuff for the boys. The money we save in driving from store to store is nice but it's really the fact that I don't have to push around a damn shopping cart all day that makes it SO much nicer. I get in trouble all the time with my wife cuz I'll people watch, make jokes about em and then she'll punch me with her pointy little fist. She's small and pretty like an angel but tough as nails...
Today's our 10th Anniversary. Marrying her is probably the best damn decision I ever made in my life - or ever will.
I've got a great girl.
Not to mention she gave me two strong sons - that's ALWAYS big points...
I agree, crowds of people that act like that are not my cup of tea. Its like a feeding frenzy. I saw clips on youtube of local walmarts when they bring out the big pallet of iphones Its like shark week.
I would like to add that on as a punishment too for people texting and surfing on their lil iphone things when they are driving.
I have a cell phone. 100% media blocked for both myself and my wife. No texting, no cyborg crap at all. We talk - like humans.
I see parents at sporting events and swimming lessons for their kids and they never even look away from those stupid iphones long enough to watch their own kid make a catch or just be happy when the team scores. It's crazy and disconcerting when I think about what society is coming to.
I had to go to wally world, I needed ammo for the kids to shoot and didn't want to disturb my stash! The crowd didn't seem to irritate me any more than a usual day there.
I'll need to find the links to it one day this week but did you know "that store" you just went to contributes literally MILLIONS of dollars per year to animal activist groups and groups that buy off land and place it off limits to hunters and fishermen?
I really have to find the links but it's all well documented.
Every time you buy a fishing rod or ammo, or anything else for that matter, a percentage of it goes to help STOP you from hunting and fishing. It's crazy..
