I just recently purchased an Eagle Arms AR10 a Division of Armalite.
Does anyone have any info about the Eagle Arms brand?
Years of production and if they are as good as the original Armalite or if they built them on the cheap.Do they hold up as well as the original Armalite and any other info that You may have.things I should watch out for and things I need to know and do to extend the life of this firearm.
I have fired about 60 rounds of .308 off the shelf ammo through this rifle and the accuracy seemed real good and it cycled the bolt and ejected/chambered the rounds nicely.
Thank You in advance.

Independent of ArmaLite, Karl Lewis and Jim Glazier formed a company named Eagle Arms in Coal Valley Illinois in 1986. Lewis had manufactured a wide variety of both commercial and military parts for M-16 rifles, and Eagle Arms assumed the increasingly distracting retail business from Lewis
The other thing I forgot to add was, in the day Eagle Arms you could buy as parts and assemble your own, as you could not do this with ArmaLite, you could only buy complete rifles.
Now that has all changed and the Eagle Arms line has slowed down drasticly, but you can now buy ArmaLite parts to build an ArmaLite rifle.
That is some very interesting information.
It sounds like Eagle Arms sort of reintroduced Armalite back into the manufacturing of firearms.
Thank You for the reply.
I was first introduced to the AR styled rifles in 1971 when I went into the Army,I thought what in the world kinda plastikated crap is this?
I learned to shoot that rifle and have since that time wanted to get another AR.I did`nt particularly care for the .223 round as I always considered that too light of a round for the type of shooting i enjoy.
The other day My eldest son stopped by and was talking about possibly picking up an AR styled rifle in the .762 nato,I thought what is this?? got on gunbroker and found this Eagle Arms AR10 for 1500 bucks and thought Well that looks like the one I would like so I purchased that and I am very impressed with the way it shoots.
so I guess to answer My own question would be that the Eagle Arms AR10 is a good choice in a rifle.
Thank You for the info.
