A Doc with 8.5 acres to spare wants to make money with it. It is in an area FEMA & the Corps of Engineers will not allow building. Multiple agency's ha e given us the green light and permits have been applied for. So far it's talking and negotiating but all agree I get 50% of the net & 20% ownership of all including the land. we'll see how it turns out. Wish me luck.
We'll have 25,50,100, & 150 yard ranges with 15 stations each. We plan on having heated and cooled shooting stations. The first outdoor climate controlled range (of course I mean just the shoot stations) in Texas!
We plan on a competition area for IDPA, 3 GUN, & Cowboy action shooting.
But wait, there's more!! On the other side of the Hwy(287), there is 60 acres for archery and paint ball!!
First permit denied as expected. The doc tried to save a few bucks and turn in a home PC drawing. Having dinner at my home tonight to convince the tight wade that surveyers drawings are what the county expected with exact detail.
We'll see how round two goes.
You can do the drawing yourself, you just have to find an engineer to sign off on them!
Don't get worried till they turn you down four or five times, sometimes I think the government types deny permits just because it will cut into their lunch hour if they have to fill out everything granting them!

This much is true. some people exist for no other purpose than to get in the way. just so they can justify their existence.
Things are still plugging along. Looking at a meeting with county the end of the week. Have lined up earth movers to level 8 acre lot and have flood plane engineering report.
