I haven't found much info on the forum about the RSAUM varient. I'd love to know more from those that have them. Everything from general reviews to pet loads and tips on squeezing accuracy. I have one and have done some development on the rifle and ammo but would like to know where others are with their rifles. I'm very impressed with the rifle and ballistics of the round. If there is a gap in info on this varient I hope to start filling it.

While I do think its a great idea to have a magnum auto-loader, there just aint many out there.
Filling in the information gap is certainly a welcome addition to the forum.

Out of the AR-10 Magnum with 24" barrel you can handload a 210 gn Berger VLD over RL17 to over 2900fps. It is supersonic to nearly a mile and ballistically very comparable to most 338 Lapua loads. Also your looking at spending much more on rifle and ammo for what is really a marginal difference in preformance. You also loose all the advantages of a semi auto platform and if you do get a semi auto 338 lapua you give up accuracy. The Bad News rairly holds under moa. I have sub 1/2 moa with the Armalite.

This sounds really interesting, I would like to see some pics of your AR10T magnum, that sounds like an awesome firearm.

Base Rifle - Armalite AR-10T Magnum 300 RSAUM 24"
Stock - Magpul PRS
Grip - Magpul MIAD
Charging Latch - Badger
Trigger - Geissele Super Dynamic Enhanced
Gas Block - PRI Adjustable
Muzzle Break - Surefire SFMB762

I did my initial testing with the above plus the factory handguard and a Ziess Conquest 4.5-14x50 with Rapid Z 1000 rectical.

I'm waiting on a Troy 13.8" MRF quad rail and a Night Force ATACR with MOAR rectical in a 20moa Larue LT745 quick detach mount. I already have a nice Harris bipod and will add a Accutac Monopod to round out the system. I'm using Gen II 15 round mags with modified feedlips. They hold 10 RSAUM rounds feed reliability and seat on a closed bolt with a full 10 rounds without undue force.

Very nice! Two questions: In your opinion, is the muzzle brake a big improvement? Two, did you consider the .338 Federal model at all?

Can you take a picture of a .223, .308 and your RSAUM together so we can have a perspective of round size?

The muzzle break is a great improvement especially as the round is higher pressure (62,000). It is also a great way to protect the muzzle.

The 338 fed is just 308 necked up and gives up a lot of range compared to the RSAUM.
I considered necking the RSAUM to 338 but again it gives up too much velocity for the higher BC to make up.

Here is a pic of .223 RSAUM and .308
