For the last couple of months every time I come to this sight, under the header is a long blank page. Then after scrolling way down to the bottom, all the posts are jumbled up and on top of each other. Someone might have posted this before, but I can't even navigate because of the jumbled mess. I tried using the contact us but it was so bunched up at the bottom of the page that I couldn't use it either. Any help appreciated.
Try playing with the magnification tool on your browser. If it is set too high to make things larger, it will do that. I just did a little test on mine and it did exactly what you described. On Google Chrome, there should be 3 little grey lines in the top right corner of your browser border.
With Windows 7, there will be a little gear looking thing in the top right just below the X box, click that and it will give you a "zoom" level.
Try reducing it and making it larger and see if that has any effect.
Thanks for the replies. I'm not too computer savvy and I'm still on Windows XP and using a non wide screen monitor, that might be the problem. I never had a problem on this sight until a couple of months ago and never have trouble on any other forum.
Anyway, did you try playing with the zoom at all on the XP screen? I think on XP there may be a small window in the bottom right corner but it's been a couple of years since I touched it. Otherwise, check "tools" and see if you can adjust there.
I mess with mine sometimes to try and make the letters bigger so I don't have to use my damn reading glasses all the time and found that the zoom is often the cause of issues like this.
Especially since there have been a few minor changes to the page layouts and stuff.
Sorry in advance if this doesn't do it but it's my best guess from here Sir.
Sounds like you are using Internet Explorer. Rather than tell you to change browsers, I will try to remember where the setting are and get back to you. It may be as simple as needing to clear the cache and delete old cookies, then log back in, as your browser may be holding on to old page format data from before the update.
I don't know, I have not messed with this stuff in a while.
Much obliged Sharkey. I went to 75 percent screen and that fixed it. I reckon they upgraded the sight to accommodate wide screens. Now I have to break out the reading glasses too.
you'll need to log out and try this.
DISCLAIMER: I aint used IE in a very long time. this may or may not work. I don't know. I should not hurt anything although you will need to manually log in to sites once more to reset the cookies back to "remember me".
