Currently using a single stage press. I have learned reloading from my dad who has never used anything but a single stage press. I am thinking about upgrading to a turret press. The two I am looking at most closely are the Lyman T-mag and the Redding T-7. Was wondering what everyone elses experiences were with turret presses. Will be reloading pistol and rifle. Some of the rifle will be magnum. Thanks

Not quite ready to move up to the progressive yet. The thing I like about the turret system is being able to lock my dies down in the turret and leave them. Then just swap out turrets. The Lyman and Redding are 6 and 7 hole turrets and I would be able to set up two calibers or more in each turret. I'm like you though. Most of the time when I reload I am in no hurry. Getting used to using th easy prime setup that I bought with it. Would definitely suggest this to someone in the market foe a turret press. Well worth the money.Show more12 years ago

Like BMS said, as with the Pro 1000, you need to keep up on the maintenance and tweak it once in a while. I've been thinking of upgrading. Anyone have any suggestions? Once you get a turret press, you wont be happy with any thing else. The only caveat is that bench rest shooting ammo may be better made with a single stage.Show more10 years ago
