I need help on removing a barrel nut on my DB10 diamondback AR10. My Armors wrench doesn’t fit properly. Does anyone have a recommendation? I have the Midwest Industries Armors Wrench. I have included pictures. One pic is from the completed gun, that I am unhappy with. Therefore I’m redoing all the Cerakote by myself and replacing a cracked lower from my supposed gun smith. Not happy. But my cerakote tester parts turned out great. Time to do the rest. I just need to get off the barrel nut.
Remember that everything flex's a little. If you load a bipod heavy you get deflection, with some rails its very noticeable. I would track down someone who has done it the same way you want to. Or just be prepared to get the dremel tool out and make it work your way, there are no rules against that. A relief cut to clearance it is no biggy in my book to get something you want.
I am with JT . The 1:10 barrel will provide for longer shots with heavy barrels. But if your only shooting to 600 it is a mute point. The other one will work better with the lower weight bullets, And the lower weight bullets can be sent way faster at those shorter ranges, almost matching a 6.5 Needsmore.
What are you doing with it? The 1:10 twist will be better for heavier bullets in general, I can't say I shoot well enough to really tell the difference, now if you plan on a 1,000 yard shots it will show. I have a couple Wilson barrels, good shooters.
I have not tried that exact combination but have several SLR blocks, you will have a hard time finding anything adjustable with clicks that is smaller.
